Or else let these men themselves tell what misdeed they found when I
stood before the Council, other than for this one statement which I
shouted out while standing among them, 'for the resurrection of the
dead I am on trial before you today.'

Acts 24:20-21

After the tiring journey that Paul has been through, he's as close to
his hometown as he's been yet he's being persecuted. All these
accusations being poured out on him are all false. He's not claiming
anything other than the fulfillment of the very scriptures they
study. But yet Paul's faith does not conform or faulter. It stands
firm and is proud to be on trial... suffering for Jesus.

Michelle shared with me last night about her bible study; on how they
would act if they were to stand in front of Jesus today. What would
they say?she went on to express how ugly jer heart is and how she
can't face God because of her rejection of His ways. I also reflected
on how I had to refocus my thoughts on Him yesterday morning before my
conference call with a customer. God's presense is always there and
at the given time we are to choose His ways in the midst of
suffering. We need to be like Paul and joyfully accept opportunities
to suffer for the joy of the Lord. I need to learn how to choose
suffering.

Father God, thank You for days like yesterday where hearts can be
uncovered and worked on. I pray this same peace for each of Your
children. I ask for a divine encounter with all Your own. Love You,
Jesus!
