How would I respond to God's calling if I was only told of the
destruction and pain of what lies ahead of me? The Apostle Paul
didn't know what lied ahead of him in Jerusalem other than "bonds and
affliction" but yet stayed the course the Holy Spirit affirmed. I
don't know how I would respond. I believe that I would set out in
obedience but know that my flesh is strong. I will be tempted to do
the lesser of options leading to stumbling. But I know God is so much
more and that if I lean on His ways and understanding, not my own, He
will triumph. I cannot be tempted to quit the race.
Father God, that You for providing these guardrails in life to hang on
to. I know it's not meant to ride on and scrape against but that's
exactly what I do daily. I try to just get by instead of livig in
excellence. I pray for a releasing of these old fleshly ways and ask
for a real transformation to the new and beautiful! In the Most
High's wonderful name I pray, Amen!
