Heavenly Bank Transfer

a woman came to him with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, which she poured on his head as he was reclining at the table. When the disciples saw this, they were indignant. "Why this waste?" they asked. "This perfume could have been sold at a high price and the money given to the poor..." I tell you the truth, wherever this gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her."

Jesus deserves our very best!  Sometimes we think and scheme up the best ways to love and honor our Savior but the heart of it is pretty simple; with whatever you have, offer it.  It doesn't necessarily mean to go sell all you have an give it to the poor it means give all you have when God prompts us.  Sometimes it's everything and sometimes it's what you have in my pocket today.  God deserves our heart and if we cherish earthly treasures over Him, He will definitely let us know.  And this doesn't just apply to our finances; a lot of times people just need someone to talk to or a friendly smile.  God teaches us constantly about our character but rarely about money.  Which is a better gift to bless others with?

There are always concerns about finances but what God is teaching me here is about my character.  What's more important in God's kingdom?  Am I willing to bankrupt myself on earth for the sake of immeasurable riches in heaven?  Today, no; but I know that's not where God wants me to stay.  He placed me at the starting line now without the intent on me staying there.  He needs me to run to His riches.  A lot of distractions and tests will appear in this season, I need to run with focus and determination to build character in the midst of having less.  

Heavenly Father, it's all Yours.  Every dime I have is to glorify You and I know the current situation I'm in isn't for me to be without but a down payment on so many eternal treasures being stored up.  Help me never to steal from You but to glorify You by purchasing something so much more wonderful in heaven  Less is definitely more!  I pray for relationships to be strengthen and transformed minds and hearts for You!  In the wonderful name of Jesus I pray, Amen!
