Persistence is Vital

8"I tell you, even though he will not get up and give him anything because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence he will get up and give him as much as he needs.

9"So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.

10"For everyone who asks, receives; and he who seeks, finds; and to him who knocks, it will be opened.

Luke 11:8-10

We are being taught a valuable lesson here. We're being taught that persistence in godly concerns is vital to our walk, our faith. Under normal situations, people are willing to go an extra distance to help outa person in need. God is so much more. God is willing to give His children everything they desir when their agendas are in line with the Father's.

I give up way too easily. Any time some rocky roads come up I tend to pull back and allow situations to pass. I chooses the lesser of blessings because i don't want to ruffle any feathers or cause any grief. But to what gain is that? A temporary sense of keeping peace? What that does is feeds my selfishness and keeps me from glorifying God. I need to be willing to stick my neck out there and allow God to work through me.

Father God thank You for being my strength. You are this amazing God that can accomplish everything but I keep You bottled up limiting the world's blessings. Help me good Lord to overcome this shag obstacle. In the precious name of Jesus I pray, amen!
